Gov. Ron DeSantis extended Florida’s eviction and foreclosure moratorium until Sept. 1, via an executive order signed Wednesday. The moratorium was set to expire at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday. The order was publicly announced shortly before 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Commercial foreclosures appears to be back in play. There are also limitations regarding repayment when the tenant or borrow “is no longer adversely affected by the COVID-19 emergency,”  I think there will be some challenges to that provision. Check back here for further updates.
